Welcome to The White County Animal Shelter
The animal shelter opened it's doors in August 2008. The shelter is located in a rural area of Middle Tennessee. The shelter is currently a dog only facility. Our primary focus is picking up stray dogs throughout White County, Tennessee.
The shelter has gone through many changes in the time it has been opened. The building was a just your basic pole barn and in time it has been enclosed with garage doors and has had a HVAC system installed to keep the dogs comfortable. The inside consists of 16 runs and there are 11 additional runs outside. We have a seperate building for young puppies that contains individual cages to help ensure their health and well being. There are two more seperate buildings outside the main building that serve as a laundry room/storage area and another building that is primarily used for storage of tools, crates, and other miscellaneous items.
We also have an outside play/visitation area for the dogs. All the materials and labor were donated so this area can exist.
Please feel free to stop by anytime during operating hours and visit the shelter and meet the dogs in our care.
